Starting high school is an exciting milestone, but it can also feel a little overwhelming, especially when it comes to tackling math in Grade 9. At Christian Virtual School, we want to set our students up for success by helping them build confidence and strengthen foundational skills before they begin their MTH1W course in the fall.
That’s why this year we’re offering a Grade 9 Math Prep Course designed specifically for incoming students who want to refresh their math knowledge and prepare for the year ahead.
This 2-week preparation course helps students review key concepts from earlier grades and introduces them to what they can expect in Grade 9 math. It will focus on the fundamental skills that are so important as students make the transition from elementary to secondary school mathematics concepts. It’s an excellent opportunity to get a head start, reduce anxiety, and approach the new school year feeling prepared and capable.
Throughout the course, students will have access to a teacher who is available to answer questions and provide feedback on their work, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.
We recommend this course for all students planning to take Grade 9 MTH1W this fall, whether you feel confident in math or could use a little boost, everyone can benefit from some extra practice and guidance.
