Earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
Christian Virtual School is an inspected private school offering exceptional online Christian education. Our courses follow the Ontario curriculum, are fully online and entirely self-paced. Students who wish to earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) can do so at Christian Virtual School.
The Ministry of Education in Ontario has recently updated the high school graduation requirements for any students entering Grade 9 in the 2024-25 school year and beyond.
For students who entered Grade 9 prior to the 2024-25 school year, in order to earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) you are required to:
- Earn 30 credits (18 compulsory and 12 optional)
- Complete 40 hours of Community Involvement
- Successfully complete the Literacy Requirement
- Earn at least 2 online learning credits

For students who entered Grade 9 in 2024-25 or later, in order to earn the OSSD you are required to:
- Earn 30 credits (17 compulsory and 13 optional)
- Complete 40 hours of Community Involvement
- Successfully complete the Literacy Requirement
- Successfully complete the Financial Literacy Requirement*
- Earn at least 2 online learning credits
