Grade 9 Science
This course enables students to develop their understanding of concepts related to biology, chemistry, physics, and Earth and space science, and to relate science to technology, society, and the environment. Throughout the course, students will develop and refine their STEM skills as they use scientific research, scientific experimentation, and engineering design processes to investigate concepts and apply their knowledge in situations that are relevant to their lives and communities. Students will continue to develop transferable skills as they become scientifically literate global citizens.

Sarah graduated from McMaster University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a special interest in Genetics. She went on to obtain her Bachelor of Education at Western University in 2012 and began her teaching career shortly afterwards. She has worked in a variety of environments, but has a passion for online education and the doors it can open for students. She has been working in the online environment as a teacher and administrator for over 7 years.
Now Sarah works as the Principal and Executive Director at Christian Virtual School and loves to be a part of students’ exploration of Science and the world around them. In her spare time Sarah also likes spending time outdoors with her family, coming up with crazy science experiments to do with her daughter, and working in her garden.
