The beginning of a new year is always a great time to think about our aspirations for the year ahead! More specifically, January is the perfect time to be planning for second semester courses and how they fit in your overall plan for post-secondary.

Christian Virtual School values the importance of reflection and exploration as students work towards various post-secondary goals. In Creating Pathways to Success, the Ministry of Education emphasizes the exploration of four important questions as students grow and develop.

In order to help students explore these important questions, Christian Virtual School provides each student a myBlueprint account. myBlueprint is a comprehensive education and career planning tool that is offered to all Christian Virtual School students (Grades 7-12), teachers, and parents.

myBlueprint includes career interest surveys, a secondary school course planner, goal setting tips, occupation profiles, post-secondary program information and a resumé builder for the world of work. This career and life planning tool provides an opportunity for students to learn, reflect, and investigate as they plan their futures.

One great feature of myBlueprint is the ability to plan your courses throughout secondary school. You can add planned, in-progress and completed courses to keep track of your graduation requirements as you go!

Below is an example of the secondary school course planner with a typical grade 9 course selection:
