At Christian Virtual School, Teachers work as Independent Contractors and determine their own schedules, enrollment numbers, and workload. Teaching at Christian Virtual School offers a great amount of flexibility and the opportunity to gain experience, supplement income, or pursue a career in online teaching. As a multi-denominational school, Christian Virtual School Teachers are expected to respect each other’s diverse practices and traditions as well as those of our students and their families. We are currently seeking teachers in the following areas:

Grade 4-8 Mathematics, Science, Language, Social Studies, and Physical Education.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Have a Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
  • Hold a Certificate of Registration with the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • Hold qualifications in the appropriate divisions for which they are applying.
  • A demonstrated passion for Christian education.
  • Well-developed technological skills and abilities.
  • Strong communication skills.

Ideal candidates will have the following:

  • Experience teaching in the classroom and online.
  • Experience working with Christian curriculum.
  • Additional education or experience in online learning, education technology, or related fields.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in education, technology, or related field.

At Christian Virtual School, Content Writers and Developers are responsible for working on a range of development projects and initiatives. Currently, we are seeking writers who are passionate about bringing a Christian perspective to the Ontario curriculum. As a Content Writer you would work as a part of a team to write and/or develop and design course content that teaches students various subject while integrating a Christ-centered worldview.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Full fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Bachelor of Education OR equivalent relevant experience and/or qualifications.
  • Exceptional skills in writing and research.
  • A demonstrated passion for Christian education.
  • Well-developed technological skills and abilities.
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines and specific project requirements.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The ability to work well independently and as a team to complete tasks.
  • A truly collaborative nature and an eagerness to learn.

Ideal candidates will have the following:

  • Experience teaching in the classroom and online.
  • Experience working with the Ontario curriculum.
  • Experience working with Christian curriculum.
  • Experience in curriculum development and/or program planning.
  • Additional education or experience in online learning, education technology, or related fields.
  • Experience with HTML programming or experience with content development software.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in education, technology, or related field.
