We’re excited to introduce one of our newer teachers: Lindsay McElroy. She teaches a wide mix of our high school courses, including Science, Learning Strategies, Health & Phys. Ed., and Green Industries & Skilled Trades—so if it’s hands-on, practical, or a little outside the box, there’s a good chance you’ll find her there! She has been a great blessing to our CVS community and students.

Lindsay graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Kinesiology, specializing in Athletic Therapy. Following graduation, she began her career as an Athletic Therapist, where she developed a passion for teaching and mentoring others.

Motivated to pursue this interest further, Lindsay transitioned into education and completed her Teacher’s College at Trent University with a focus in Science, Physical Education, Special Education, Dance and Math. She began her teaching career with the Thames Valley District School Board in 2012, where she gained valuable classroom experience and continued to refine her instructional skills.

Seeking new challenges and opportunities for growth, Lindsay wanted to explore online education. She was particularly drawn to the ability to integrate her faith and love of Jesus into her teaching, which led her to join the Christian Virtual School.

Lindsay is passionate about fostering curiosity and lifelong learning in her students. “We can always stretch our minds to learn something new. Never stop learning, never stop growing.” She is thankful for Christian Virtual School and the opportunity she has to connect with more students.

Outside of teaching, Lindsay is a personal trainer and enjoys staying active through fitness, has a passion for nutrition, loves exploring nature and the outdoors, traveling, and adores spending quality time with her husband and four children.
