As you complete elementary school, it’s time to start looking ahead to high school! Grade 9 is an exciting milestone, as you begin earning credits toward your Ontario Secondary School Diploma. To learn more about what to expect, visit our Grade 9 page.
To help you prepare for a successful start, there are three simple steps you can take. First, you can take one of our preparation courses. They are short, two-week courses that are built to help you master the essential skills you need to be successful in your first high school courses. Second, if you have already completed Grade 8, start earning your community involvement hours. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience while giving back to your community. Lastly, get a head start on your high school credits through our Reach Ahead program, which allows you to earn one or two Grade 9 credits during the summer before high school begins.
