As we reach the halfway point of second semester, it is a great time for you to pause and check in with your goals and your progress. Before you keep reading, take 60 seconds and ask yourself: Am I where I hoped I’d be by now?
This time of year can feel like a mix of motivation and pressure. The Guidance Office here at Christian Virtual School is here to support you as you complete your courses and prepare for your next steps, wherever that may be!
Remember the flexibility that the asynchronous model at Christian Virtual School offers. If you are finding your course load overwhelming, try and focus on just two courses at a time for a bit until you get back on track. If you are finding it difficult to manage your time, take a look at how and when you learn best and make a schedule based on that. Not sure where to begin? We are happy to help! Guidance Office Hours are posted each week in The Guidance Office and our Director of Guidance, Ms. Drennan is always here to help.
For students thinking about post-secondary, this is a critical time. Whether you are considering college, university or entering the work force we are here to help you make informed decisions about your future. This can also be a stressful time for students, and it is important to remember to take course of yourself! Make the workload more manageable by breaking tasks into smaller steps, take intentional breaks, and of course prioritize nutrition and sleep. If you are feeling overwhelmed, reach out to a trusted family member friend or advisor. Sharing how you are feeling can make a big difference!
