Welcome to the sixty-second edition of the Friends of the School Newsletter. We are hoping that through our monthly newsletter we can connect students, teachers, supporters, and interested students and their families with the ongoings of our school.
What’s Happened
We’re almost ready to welcome everyone back to school! We have spent August preparing our courses and welcoming teachers. All pre-registered students will be given access to their Christian Virtual School accounts as well as their courses, in order for them to start school on September 8! Parents who signed up for the parent portal will also been given access to their accounts.
We are so incredibly thankful and blessed with our enrollments this year and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back. We couldn’t do it without our community, and we especially couldn’t do it without God!
What’s Happening
It’s not too late to register! Registration for the 2026-27 school year is still ongoing and can be completed through our website. If you have any questions about the registration process or course selection, reach out to our administration team by email at information@christianvirtualschool.com.
The Gathering Place (Bible study and student clubs) will be resuming in September. Students can check out the Gathering Place class for more details. We will be sending out a form later in the month for families to submit their ideas for student clubs they would like to see this year!
The Guidance Office opens on September 10. The Guidance team is busy preparing for a new school year and is here to support students along the way. Students can access The Guidance Office for valuable resources, forms, helpful links, and information related to post-secondary planning, scholarships, myBlueprint, and more.
Need one-on-one support? Students can book a meeting with Ms. Drennan. Be sure to check The Guidance Office regularly for updates!

Frequently Asked Questions
What does asynchronous mean?
Asynchronous means that our courses do not align to a schedule. All of the course content, teachers, and administration staff are available year-round. Students can enroll in a course on any day and begin their coursework within 1 business day. Students can set and maintain their own schedule, completing a course at a pace that matches their needs.
How long does a course take?
Christian Virtual School courses are asynchronous. This means that they do not align to a schedule and students can move through the course at their own pace, taking up to 12 months. Each high school course is designed to take 110 hours, and each elementary course is designed to provide enough material for an entire school year.
