Friends of the School Newsletter – 60th Edition

Our weekly cafeterias were a hit again this year, and we are so blessed to offer that opportunity to students. We also held a school wide summer social this month, where the elementary and secondary students competed in an escape room showdown. It was a big bash before the social events wind down for the summer, and we had a blast.

While the Bible study, cafeterias, and clubs are over for the months of July and August, staff are still around over the summer. Students have 24/7 access to their courses and can still participate in their Homeroom/Study Hall discussion boards throughout the summer months. Daily Physical Activity (DPA) will also continue to be updated each week.

What’s Happening

As we begin approaching the end of our typical school year, our admin team is preparing Grade 8 Graduation packages for students. Students who complete all requirements for the Eighth Grade will receive a package that includes a Certificate of Completion, Award(s), a congratulatory card, and a composite photo of their class. We want to recognize how hard each and every one of our students are working for their education. Keep an eye on your mailboxes, Grade 8s!

We are still working towards our goal of supporting virtual field trips for our CVS students, and with your help, we can make it happen! Shop gift cards through our FundScrip campaign, and a portion of every purchase will go toward this amazing cause.
